I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure you will miss Ginger for a very long time. I love my dog, Roxy, to bits, I hope she is around for a very long time. If all dogs go to heaven sign me up. You know that Ginger is happy there. And waiting with a wagging tail.

Take care.

It's canadiansailor's ship too. We should get together for a picture, I'll invite Smudge - he just joined a couple days ago.

I'm glad we didn't lose any lives, but it was very frustrating to lose the dhow. Ask Patch, he's probably still pissed off.

Excellent pic :-) Was it from the Combat Camera site? Both that site and HMCS Ottawa's site have (too) many pictures of the boarding team. You'd think that was all we are doing out here :-)

That net was huge, it took the crew over three hours to haul it out of the hold.

I remember him well from the 70's and 80's. I liked both his TV shows and I had wondered what had happened to him.
I sang with him at the Charlottetown Confederation Centre of the Arts in 1984 as part of a student interchange.
I'm sorry to hear that he's left us, thank you for the post Blue_Nose

Soup at stand-easy - gotta love it

Mario, I know nothing of sodomy or the lash (well, not in the Navy), and the rum is a rare event.

This isn't meant to offend civvy friends, it's more for us military types to sit back and smile at. Civvy versus Military Friends: CIVVY FRIENDS: Get upset if you're too busy to talk to them for a week MILITARY FRIENDS: Are glad to see you after years, and will happily carry on the same conversation...

Whoa, whoa, whoa! England arn't GB! England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland are GB & Ireland (every few years or so). But England are not GB!!!! Just thought I'd make that clear. I was directing the comment at GB - GreatBriton, rubbing some salt in his wounds. I wasn't calling England GB - Great B...

England 23-21 South Africa Huge sigh of relief GB that they didn't set a team record and lose eight in row. Good to see they stopped that "downward" spiral for the moment at least. Wales 61-26 Canada I'm sure Canada is disappointed with this result, but it is good to see Wales playing wel...

We had hoped to beat Wales in the RWC 2003, but Wales stood up and hammered us and then went on to have a not-as-bad-as-expected World Cup.

Shush! That used to be the official definition. And I'm not kidding :-)
It still might be written like that on the books, but they have tried to get away from it.
