Forum: Editorial Discussions   Topic: CWB directed to refrain from spending monies for advocacy

I tried to talk some sense into a few people I know from Manitoba who were planning to, and did, vote Conservative in the last election by telling them they can kiss the Wheat Board goodbye under the Conservatives. They seemed a bit stunned that I would say that. I guess I'll have to go back and re-...

No one should hold their breath waiting for our "new Government" to condemn this bill. Rather, we should expect Harpie to come out with a statement expressing his satisfaction that this is a "measured" bill. Sort of like the "measure" obliteration of Lebanon.

The North American Forum on Itegration, I'd never heard of them before. I'd like to know how many people are working behind thes shadows to create the United States of North America. I wonder of Doris can tell us what our new national anthem will be?

Oh no, nothing secret Doris, we believe you. "...forum spokesman John Larsen, said although the public was not notified of the closed and private meeting it was not meant to be secret and participants were allowed to say if they attended the forum. The only media member invited was from the Wal...

I've written to "Crosses are Burning" Fry on a number of occassions about selling Canada out and the most I receive from her is an email from her assistant stating my concerns will be passed on to her. As far as a form letter goes I know it is not the best but for a lot of people who care ...

I have to laugh at this one. In the winter I sometimes ski in Washington and when returning home I find the Canadian border guards to be quite full of attitude. I have found this to be the case at the airport as well. The Canadian border guards are bad ass when dealing with people like myself, a Can...

Is there anyone who would be willing to draft an articulate letter which we could all use to email the CCCE and cc our MP's?

It is time to really start hounding your MP on this one. I emailed my MP Hedy "crosses are burning" Fry about this issue and will continue to do so. It is time we let MPs of all parties know that we will not stand for the disintegration of our country. The Canadian Council of Chief Executi...

Who in their right mind would support a deal that would see the United States have control over our forest policies?

Just as a side note to all of this, there was an intersting documentary on Frontline some time ago about the Kahanists, a radical right wing Israeli group that wishes to expel, violently, all Arabs from the Holy Land. You can watch it here:<br /> <br /> <a href="http://www.pbs.org/wgb...

"It seems you have a strong disposition against Israel."<br /> <br /> I have a strong disposition against any country that occupies others' land and then claims to be a victim. Take a look on the cover of the latest issue of Time magazine. How can any moral human being not be o...

In yesterday's Vancouver Province there was no mention of any deaths in Lebanon, only on the Israeli side. If you were to read the Province only you'd get the impression only the Israelis were suffering casualties.

Rachel Corrie had the courage to go to Palestine as an international observer but she was crushed to death by an IDF bulldozer. Tom Hurndall from Britain had the courage as well, alas, the IDF shot him in the head. Then there was Brian Avery from New Mexico, an American shot in the face by the IDF. ...

Maybe Kofi was basing his assessment on past deliberate provocatons like the deliberate Israeli bombing of the USS Liberty. It's not that far of a stretch to think Israel would bomb the UN considering their complete and utter contempt for the organization. They've shown complete and utter contempt f...

Great article. I really wish the NDP would start running on more of a Nationalist campaign but then unfortunately what happens is the media then brands them as anti American socialists. They are in a no win situation with that type of campaign although if Canadians thought deeply enough about it, di...
