I quit drinking coffee the same day I quit smoking cigarettes. They went so well together for me I knew to give up one meant I had to give up both. End game...I haven't had a cigarette or a cup of coffee in over 20 years. I did the same when I quit smoking, that and booze. A couple of years after, ...

The Hurt Locker is a remake of an old movie. Is it? I'm pretty sure the screen play wasn't even writen until 2004 or later. The writer of the screenplay for The Hurt Locker, Mark Boal, was embedded wth a bomb squad in Iraq as a journalist in 2004 and based his screenplay on that. So no it wasn't a ...

That is just awful. People who do this to animals are the worst form of scumb and IMO are on par with rapists and pedophiles. It's just so unnecessary to put that dog through that. My dog has 5 pups that are almost ready for adoption, and I am petrified that something like this could happen to them...

Okay the owner should be charged with animal cruelty, if in fact they have located the owner of this poor animal I couldn't agree more. But what would the charges be? Another slap on the wrist no doubt. It's time that the consequences for animal abuse get tougher. Far too often it's a meager fine an...

I've seen Hurt Locker, Inglorious Basterds, Avatar, District 9 and a few of the other nominated movies and in my opinion Inglorious Basterds was by far the better of the bunch with Avatar right up there too. To me the lead actor in The Hurt Locker wasn't believable at all and his character was too c...

Brenda Brenda:
Like Finland did

Exactly, they beat their rival and took bronze. Their first hockey medal for the women I think. This will hopefully gear up the sport even more in Finland and other European countries. I for one want to see the sport become tighter.

How about players like Wickenheiser going and playing or coaching in other countries between Olympics? On woman's teams of course not men's  Wick plays for Canada in between Olympic games so that's unlikely. What needs to happen is these countries need to inject more money into their programs...

Sounds like egos got in the way with what was important, this baby being delivered safely. What a senseless tragedy.

I can understand his point on this issue. While I of course love to see the women win gold, it seems too easily done when there is really only one team that poses a challenge. I would like to see the womens hockey improve in the other countries to where getting to the gold is more of a gritty fight ...

And then God Created Canada.... Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Heaven, God went missing for six days. Eventually, Michael the archangel found him, resting on the seventh day. He inquired of God, "Where have you been? " God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downward...

I don't get the thinking where any province thinks they are a nation unto themselves, never mind "special". I am a Canadian first then an Albertan.

It exicts all over the world in one form or another. Some people have nothing better to do. When we stop having special days to recognize the different cultures maybe we will all start thinking that we are all the same. Colour of skin, country of origin, religion or sexual preference - time for peo...
