It seems that when the action heats up, the Americans have a tendancy to be involved in a fair few friendly fire incidents. I was searching for the attached link as it's something I remember seeing on TV here in England :

...and in terms of the UK being the US's 'greatest ally' that's so without a doubt. Personally, though, I have a lot more respect for a country that doesn't bow at the US's every command and is prepared to speak up if it doesn't agree with something. This might be considered 'off topic' but as the UK was mentioned (England, Great Britain, call it what you want), I felt I had to reply. I wouldn't say the standard of living in the UK is really great or particularly better than other countries in the West. I've been living here for about 19 years n... |

I wouldn't mind moving to Canada. If I had the money, I'd be off like a shot. Seeing as I still have Canadian citizenship (along with Dutch citizenship, both of my parents being from Holland), I would assume that it would be easy-ish to find a job? I like the USA and know many good Americans but if ... |
