that's about 1.25% increase per year. not that bad when you consider most of the expenses are salaries.

How on earth does someone DUI 17 times and not have their license taken away for good? I hate to say it but we could learn from the Yukon. They have a separate piece of ID for drinking that the cops can take away if you do anything stupid while drunk. Next time someone DUI just take away their abil...

We need a discussion about who are the Good Secessionists and who are the Bad Secessionists. There are well-organized movements in Quebec, Alaska, Hawaii, Vermont, and Puerto Rico. One might even include Cascadia and Texas in that list. Which are good and which are bad? Some Alaskans want to secede...

Add to that the language barrier for the ~60-65% of unilingual francophones in Quebec who can't get world information outside the 2 mainstream french news channel.

Reason is overrated. Populist parties know this. People react much more viscerally on an emotional level. With so much data today, such a barrage of information, there are so many facts that you can select a few to support virtually any viewpoint. It's the post-objective society. There os no appeal...
