To answer your question on why Africa, you’re right colonialism isn’t completely to blame but is part of it https://youtube.com/watch?v=IpbyDIpIStc That didn't really help explain anything. Really the answer he gave in 3 different ways was "the locals screw themselves over, repeatedly,...

2 wrongs don't make a right. And honestly, you can go back another hundred years to when the Zulu's were fighting the Dutch, then English. Then 100 years before that when the Zulu's were slaughtering neighbouring tribes, or selling them as slaves. The point is, wrong is wrong. During Apartheid the ...

Are you talking about Florida, because the GOP's had both federal Houses of Congress under their control since the 2010 midterms. Sandy Hook happened in 2012, just a month or so after the November general election, where the GOP retained congressional control. Damn you and your blasted facts!! GOP ...

In Canada, as 15th generation lumberjacks, we're taught how to deal with an axe wielding idiot. We make like trees and leave.

It doesn't work as well with bullets though.

Canada has FAR more oil than Norway... so why aren't we doing as well as them? Not to mention pretty well every other conceivable natural resource. ... because they're socialist and kept the people's resources for the people... We on the other hand, let some capitalist asshole take 95% of the wealth...

That is only a very small short snip-it of the story though. They have a very high cost of living, and a very high tax rate. So you are not comparing apples to apples, the average price for a vehicle in Norway is almost 3 x the cost of a vehicle in Canada. This site has some basic statistics: https...

You're confusing the word private. No one expects Facebook to keep everyone's secrets in a locked vault. But having an invitation only, private club doesn't require secrecy.

Agreed. It's a private site and the women can fuck the hell off. They don't have a right to force their way in to every place that men gather only to turn around and bitch that the men are acting like men. That was so well said it's almost poetic. It belongs on the back of a coin or something. R=UP...

I don’t fully agree with everything the “most inflammatory post” said, I mean I see both sides of the criminal code protecting criminals and others. Without it you’re screwed if you are innocent, but it is bound to help a criminal from time to time. What really shocked me about this is, the guy didn...

I feel like this should be protected under the right to associate with whomever you want. It's not an official site as far as I can tell. Just a bunch of buddies who work together chatting. And newsflash, friends say a lot of inappropriate stuff to one another, much if not most of it is dark humour,...

How about the article mentioning that this guy is eligible for a $50K per year pension and if he's living in his truck it's because he either can't manage money or is in dire need of mental health help? The NHL has been the "poor cousin" of pension plans in pro sports, says pension lawyer...

Yeah, this has bad news and 1984 written all over it. I don't trust anyone to properly censure what we say. Sure I hate assholes who spout BS hate speech, but that's already illegal (already a slippery enough slope for me, although I do think it was well instituted). Anyone who disagrees with unfett...

The entire point Tarantino was making is forcible rape, and statutory rape are not the same thing. And he’s RIGHT. Even the law agrees, that’s why there is a different name, and punishment for it!! So tell me, where is the crime in what Tarantino said? He literally stated the actual legal difference...

It should be exactly like alcohol. An offense punishable by a large fine. No criminal record. No court time wasted. Nothing but a big fine to make it less likely kids use pot while their brains are still growing and susceptible to damage.
