"In addition, the warheads used suggest a desire to maximize harm to civilians. Some of the rockets launched against Haifa over the past two days contained hundreds of metal ball bearings that are of limited use against military targets but cause great harm to civilians and civilian property. T...

Canada is moving much of the aid money we waste in Africa to South America and we're also signing a "free trade" agreement with Columbia so with Chavez supporting rebels opperating in Columbia, I wonder how long it's going to be before we start trading insults. None of his neighbors are v...

If people will make their voting choice based on which candidate promises lower fuel prices, it would be a bad day for democracy. It seems with this whole campaign in the US, populist rhetoric is really on the rise.

Is this article a joke?

There are hundreds of prescription drugs that exist which also cause a range of adverse effects, some more dangerous than "dizziness" yet they remain legal.

I keep hearing this ridiculous conjecture that Iran will somehow build a nuclear weapon and hand it off to a terrorist group to use. How can you honestly say this with a straight face, when president Bush said the exact same thing about Iraq in 2003? Iran has some religious wackos, but not to the ex...

This is an excellent article and I couldn't have articulated my thoughts better than this piece. There has been a huge smear campaign focused against China in the Western media outlets yet the only thing that has accomplished is fan the flames of nationalism in China. So much so, in fact, that the c...

As for coal power, coal isn't unlimited either. Just look at China's recent coal shortages. The strong central government has the ability to push the coal mines to maximum capacity and yet there were reports of only having 1 week left of near-term coal supplies. Also, whatever clean coal technology ...

Yeah, and so did the rocket attacks by the Palestinians, that are still occurring, among other things. So why should we judge our policy on collateral damage? You're making it sound like Israeli military policy is to kill as many people as possible, terrorist or not. That alone is a flawed argument...

Yes the guy is annoying, but it doesn't change the fact that a large portion of the US Military is composed of Christian Evangelicals. Therefore, when others make the accusation of the US carrying out a "holy war", I am trying to show you evidence why people might think that.

The former soviet union was "secular", as are current communist dictatorships. They sure did a bang up job didn't they. Communism has been a roaring success. Now I am not backing Harper for one minute, I do not believe he is anymore a Christian then the guy whose boots he licks in DC. Chr...

Our commonalities diverge when Israel bombs apartment blocks full of Lebanese civilians, which is why I think Harper has made a terrible foreign policy mistake with his 2006 comments. Was there a Mickey Mouse doll perfected centered on the picture that accompanied the article on these Israeli airst...

I never understand why people think that outlawing guns, especially in an area WITH a high amount of crime is going to reduce crime. If I lived in a shady area of Toronto, I would definitely want a gun to protect myself. It's not a mystery that criminals don't follow gun laws. Responsible citizens s...

I agree with the main thrust of the article, especially the part about supporting Israel in the 2006 war. I think it is possible that Prime Minister Harper's religious beliefs may play a role in his bad foreign policy, especially if he believes (as many of his religious sect do) that Jews have some ...

Tonnes of people in Canada smoke/have smoked marijuana, and unlike you, they don't try and denounce it or look down at others for it. Illegal drug use is not a victimless crime. Drug users commit crimes under the influence of drugs, cause car, plane and train crashes, cause industrial and numerous ...
