Thanks Dr C, nice to know you at least are taking notice (as always). I just have to ask, how many editors / moderators do we have at Vive, I know Susan does a little but it seems every time you are otherwise occupied or unable to "perform" :) the whole thing goes tilt. It would seem that ...

I dont know if anyone is taking note and has any thoughts on my previous suggestions above but here is yet annother suggestion. Given that as of right now the submission que is in excess of 20 articles, could we have this information avalable BEFORE we post instead of after. It would then be possibl...

It seems that some MP's are seeing the light, this from MP Garth Turner's blog this morning...... "This is my eighth year being an MP, spread over two decades, and yet I am just learning something most Canadians simply know is true. Nobody in this House of Commons has the answers to our challen...

"you're not lobbying each individual MP, trying to get their "free" vote. This means smaller organizations can access MPs--" But is that right? The Mp's we elect represent the INDIVIDUALS in their riding and we individuals should be able to at least try and express out point of view to him or her wi...

You may well be correct that "A lot of people vote for a party or a leader...more than vote for their local representative." but is that not part of the problem. The blindly voting for the party, with little regard for whether the MP will truly represent the electorate, is what has brought...

Elizabeth said “If we keep doing the same thing over and over, why would we expect a different result? The different result is only possible if we actually do things differently.” Several others here and elseware have said much the same. It is to anyone taking notice a given, but what do we do diffe...

Dr C said "And it convinced me I need to stay." Glad to hear it, your input is both needed and appreciated!! Seems that the "board" and the contributors must try and decide upon better guide lines as to the appropriate type of articles for submission and publish such an outline f...

Susan said “If I could, I'd only put SPP and deep integration-related articles on the front page, and that's the way I'm trying to go, but it we don't get enough of those posted every day to do so yet. “ I agree that the site needs to become a little more focused and had in fact written a piece sugg...

Its more of a problem that the government is making every little thing a "matter of confidence" in order to pressure the oposition. If that practice were to become common practice and our MP's were to vote against the content of the bills when they disagreed with them (as they should) then we would ...

Dr C, I truly hope that you will reconsider your decision to resign from the editorial staff, in the several years I have been visiting this site I have admired your consistent and measured responses and editorial decisions in what has often been very difficult circumstances. I would hope that Susan...

I cannot speak to Ed’s economic theories as I have far too little knowledge of “economics” but I can say that farm income is inadequate to be sustainable and this is clearly shown by the latest Stats Can figures. You will note that there is a 25% reduction of those under 35 farming and a 10% increas...

Thanks for the list Dio, I shall try and avoid using those methods of argument! The one that gets me most upset is #25, and then I must beware #35, as must we all. :) Meanwhile I have a great deal more respect for Ed's opinion than any "econimist" and I suspect in the next couple of years ...

I had been pretty quick of the mark to poke holes when the new site first was enabled so I am going to try and make up for it by handing out a couple of “good job” comments. In finding my way around it is often the case where the particular thread or article you are following disappears of the front...
