This is a ridiculous tournament that should be scrapped. There is too much strain put on footballers now. To have teams fly across the world to play in a glorified exhibition tournament to enhance FIFA's status is asinine.
Hope ManU come back exhausted..

The Bloc is at 37% in Quebec. |

| The NDP in this coalition reminds me of the 40 year-old virgin who finally scores, only its with that drunk skank from the bar at 3am who still has vomit on her breath. |

| I don't think Western separation is going to happen but it will become more prominent. What this coalition does is effectively kill the Liberals in the west, outside of maybe a few urban ridings. It cannot possibly help the NDP out west either. Thus, unless the Liberals make a dramatic surge in Queb... |

| What I have read from commentary from a few Canadian legal scholars is that the GG would most likely ask the opposition to form a government, given that an election was just held. But I have read differing opinions on whether the government can prorogue the session. |

| Er, guys, we have umpteen threads on why everyone is evil. Could we put this aside and focus on what actually happens in the House? I also understand that coalitions work well in some other countries and not in others. We are talking about the parliamentary procedure in Canada, which is very differe... |

I forgot about this.
However, Borden never lost a vote of confidence, correct? This would seem to support an election given that Borden called an election after the Union government. |

| Okay, I'd like to put aside the partisan bickering here and discuss the legal precedence for what is happening in Parliament. My question is this - I have always understood it in the Canadian parliamentary system, if the government falls in the House on a confidence vote, then the PM either resigns ... |

Saxon Saxon: When will you people realise that calling the Conservatives even that is almost insulting. They are left of centre also, which is an embarrassment to me. What we need is a truly right-wing party, a FASCIST party.
Well, that's nice. |

| Oh, so you want an election because your party lost? You DO realise that, if there were another election today, the Conservatives would win... again? What is it you people smoke when your mommies are not looking? You wish us to waste a further $300 million because YOU and your pinko ilk are unhappy... |

| I'm sure that the sudden instability of the Canadian government and the possibility of a left-wing coalition had something to do with the TSE's fall, but most certainly the majority of the downdraft was created by the continued sell-off as global asset markets continue to de-lever. |

| I find it humorous that during the election the Libs were all over the NDP for how terrible their economic plan was. Now, six weeks later, he we are and they are willing to topple to Cons for their economic plan and feel the NDP are now good enough to form a coalition with. Using the Bloc to boot. ... |
