Maybe planes really can fly themselves! 8O{D In this case only if you're a little slow and have the throttle open too much. At least he was smart enough not to stand in front of the prop to start it. Also you never want to get sucked into a jet engine either. I've seen the movies. 8) Pay clos...

I only met Curtis when he was down here helping his Dad renovate the place. Was a likeable young guy. Claude on the ot...

I'm confused. I thought Best Buy shut down and Futureshop was dominating. certainly what seemed to have happend out here. Also, I thought Best Buy was an american company. They bought Future Shop in 2001, but most people do the opposite andyt - go to Future Shop, not Best Buy. It's the familiar Can...

The more we read about this guy the weirder he becomes. Seems odd that in Canada a family doctor can have your drivers licence pulled for a number of reasons but it didn't happen in this case for the pilot. He hid it from his employer but the doctors also didn't notifiy the employer. Maybe they can...

What is the difference between modular, RTM or mobile home? In the past a manufactured home was referred to as a ‘mobile home’ or ‘trailer’. Our manufactured homes are built on a steel frame that remains as a permanent part of it’s structure. The frame of the building is typically supported by piers...

As I said, who says Lufthansa didn't know he was being treated for depression? Lufthansa isn't some fly-by-night airline. Lufthansa is the no-shit best operated airline on this planet. They have standards and they don't deviate from them for anyone. As Anderson Cooper on CNN said last night, "...

To be sure all 'The Heads' are gathered around trying to come up with a solution that will prevent such situations in the future. One possible alternative would be a 'special key or code' -perhaps a 2 part system with 2 different crew members each controlling a part that could be utilized from eith...

The buddy system is about more than crazed pilots. A pilot having a medical emergency for instance. Nothing wrong with instituting it, costs nothing. But tying ourselves into knots about such a rare occurrence also doesn't make sense. As someone asked, how much psychological testing do they do on t...

Wouldn't it be more logical to raise taxes when things are going well, and lower them when things go bad?

Or is that just me? [huh]

That's why you could never be a politician, Ray. [B-o]
