Well it appears they've now agreed to a cease fire. Any guesses on how long it will be before Hamas starts firing rockets at Israel again? Oh wait, too late. Is that your way of saying that Israel's response has been ineffective? If you deem their response so ineffective (after all the entire osten...

No, it isn't. Israel is not directly targeting civilians. Granted, if they're near Hamas then they're "collateral", but in an area as densly populated as Gaza not having civilian casualties is an impossibility.

Hmm..quick question. Why does anyone think that "rules of warfare" would apply here? Hamas isn't going to give a shit about them, so likewise, Israel can't. Rules are all fine and all, but only work when both sides use them. Hamas wants Israelis dead, gone, wiped out. They will stop at not...

My take on it is this: If we fired 2,000 rockets a year into Detroit, whether or not we hit something, what do you think the US would do to us? I've said it before and I'll say it again -we here in North American have absolutely zero concept of what it's like to live in a place surrounded by people ...

It will be interesting to see the occurance report from this one. Glad the pilot was able to fly the plane fine... a hole like that would have been creating some wicked drag. It's not uncommon for aircraft to have "defective" parts in them, or to take off with certain parts missing. Most o...

We have a retarded neighbour that bitched to bylaw about everything. He's filed two noise complaints against us (one for our dog barking during the day, another because our drill was too loud when we were building a deck). These are the same people that asked us to take down our wind chimes, asked o...

Torture has been proven to be ineffective at getting to the "truth". As Burns said, people will say and agree to anything to stop the pain. The US very much might have shot this (and any future) case in the foot because of it.

The pilot actually credited his ability to fly the thing deadstick to his Air Cadet glider training. Amazing that those basic unpowerd flight skills learned as a teenager were still useful many years later.

I'm a Mac user. What's a "Vista?" A vastly more secure operating system (*) . * Meaning, if it's not installed, it can't be compromised. Nothing coming out of Redmond should ever be considered 'secure'. At the moment, Mac OSX is the least secure of the three mainstream operating system. D...

Well, as much as I think this is a complete joke, in all fairness to this guy, he joined the National Guard. The NG was never suppose to be sent out of the country, so he had every reason to believe he would not be sent to Iraq.
