Look Kilroy, if you ever got involved with an environmental assessment or had to deal with navigable waters you would know first hand how desperately needed this over haul is. The current environmental assessment process is a literal minefield which has become so bureaucratic and burdensome that th...

No it's not. All levels of government meet with FN regularly about the environment.........but that's all that happens. Even after an agreement has been made FN then come back with a rule change to get more money. Unfortunately I've yet to see any FN mouthpiece that has any type of environmental ed...

Nothing is written in stone. Rules are interpreted, modified, discarded all the time. Sometimes they don't work as well as originally intended. All true, and sometimes they prove a hindrance to ruling powers and are discarded for convenience. Despite the benefits that accrue from them. "When t...

Where in Europe? Well, countries that I have heard referenced in this kind of program are Germany, Switzerland, Poland, and France. I expect it is possible for a country to decide not to participate if it chooses, but as far as the European Union policies go, I don't see a lot of benefit for any on...

It is important to have that recognition and assistance to farmers because with global warming, peak oil, high input costs, depleted water resources, etc. it is obvious that our food supply in the near future is compromised to say the least. There's the Chicken Little I've been waiting for. I would...

Their are issues with the agro industry in europe but they are not enviromental ones. There are issues all over the world with the agricultural industry, and the environment plays a part in any region. I don't know what you mean by 'environmental' though but I am curious about that. In Europe for e...

As long as you might want to keep living in the past, The Netherlands, and Europe, has moved on. I don't think, in this particular area that Europe has moved on, I do hope, that they haven't, though. Without the remembrance of what hard times are the concern for food security can be lost. The agric...

It may not be racist of him to assume that he can tell an entire people what is good for them, but it certainly is paternalistic, condescending, and is probably done without consulting with those people. Which is very much like what our government is trying to do. And which has been considered raci...

Just as much as Berlin is Europe. I guess you missed that sarcasm. Maybe, but maybe more I missed the point of the sarcasm. Maybe more I missed some discussion of the issues, particularly from someone from Europe, and maybe particularly with respect to a country that went through so much deprivatio...

I did not write that. Your editing mistakenly makes it look like I did. http://www.canadaka.net/forums/native-canadian-f48/theresa-spence-native-land-issues-merged-t103572-1275.html#p1951594 Okay, so who did write it then? That's fine as another issue. But it does not stem from the original fallacy...

Also, Europe ain't just Berlin. Oh well. This is just as "big" as those 4 Muslims protesting on the Dam a while ago  I wasn't referring to the protest, or future protests, as being "big". What I am saying is that the issues being addressed by the protesters, and the governm...

Gunnair, I am guessing that you don't want to look at the important issues with any intensity or depth because it would make it harder to participate as much as you do. I think that quality is more important than quantity. Try to look at C45 issues raised here, See if you can argue against them. If...
