Forum: General Jibber Jabber   Topic: Why do people say that Vancouver is Canada's 3rd largest?

I remember doing the citizenship test back in the 90s, and there was a question on it asking for Canada's 3 largest cities, the answer they wanted was Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. According to this however, Vancouver is 8th, while Calgary should be 3rd. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_...

Forum: Canadian Politics   Topic: Will Michael Ignatieff become Prime Minister?

He has led the Liberal Party now to be neck-and-neck with the Bloc in Quebec, and the Liberals are pulling ahead of the Conservatives in Ontario. Although the Conservatives still lead in the west, Ignatieff has made inroads in terms of support there as well. I think Ignatieff would be a viable optio...

It looks pretty obvious that by next week Harper will no longer be Prime Minister due to his miscalculation and lack of stimulus in the economic update, and that the NDP/Liberals would form a government with support from the Bloc.

Who do you think should lead this emigma?

Alright, this guy is a moderator representing Canada on Stormfront (a white supremacist community) and he is basically sick and tired of immigration and how the provincial governments and federal governments (he is a critic of Brian Mulroney, Jean Chretien, Paul Martin, and Stephen Harper for their ...

Canada doesn't seem to have a lot of good Tory PM's, which I think is a shame. Sir John A. Macdonald was the founding father of Canada and served from 1867-1873, 1878-1891 but his administration was a cruel one, especially with the Pacific Scandal and the Chinese Head Tax he placed on people. Robert...

I have been studying Fred Phelp's church for well over a year, and let me just tell you not to be too affected by their views. If you watch their interviews on Fox and CNN, you'll see that they're fricken coocoo.

Harper needs to go, I see myself as a progressive conservative and I can't stand his neocon policies of sucking up to Bush.

Looks like the so-called "weakling" will get a majority government after all.

Mulroney was a closet liberal.I say that because of the Marc Lepine incident where he gunned down those women at that university using a Ruger mini-14 with a high capacity clip. The aftermath resulted in placing all assault rifles into the restricted category and banning all clips holding more than ...

At worst, he took money from an illegal lobyist and that was still a decade ago. Canadian taxpayers are still out a million bucks from ADSCAM and that was only 2 years ago. I'd say you're a bit biased. Precisely, but I wouldn't give too much credit to the Harper neoCON government either. They spend...

The 1900s saw the world rise up from slow manual technology to computers and machine technology. The first half of the 20th century saw 2 world wars, a prosperous 1920s, and a great depression/start of Korean and Cold war. The second half of the 20th century saw the generation of the hippies, the Vi...

Dion is the next Prime Minister, like it or not. The west was, is, and will always be inferior politically to the almighty Eastern Canada.

You western corporate suckups better run, because your god Steve Harper is about to be unemployed.

How shameful! Our country's employers and citizens continue to step on the immigrants because they know that immigrants offer better skills than what the citizens could offer, so to keep the immigrants to a week influence, they don't hire any foreign migrant workers! How unfortunate our poor excuse...
