Can't remember who said it, but it applies to the Maritimes in this situation, "The smaller the pit, the fiercer the rats." This is petty politics at its worst. |

This seems to me to be an American thing. While we no doubt have a few rouge cops in Canada, I've lived all over this country, and my encounters with law enforcement have been almost all positive. And I'm not exactly white bread. I grew up in what Mclean's called "The Most Dangerous Neighborhoo... |

There were many similar 'stories' told about the residential schools. People had not even attended the schools were claiming to have been abused in them. That really undermines those who truly suffered under the system. Cash grabbing scammers and attention whores. Yes, the residential school system... |

Well, he did pass Keystone XL, he didn't start WWIII, and some of what has happened has been down right entertaining. I'd say his first 100 days went better than I expected. |

Starlight tours happened almost every Halloween for us growing up. Cops caught kids, drove us a mile or two outside of town and we had to walk back whilst contemplating why we were given the time to be introspective. About 95% of us were white, so the race card couldn't he played. You didn't compla... |

Alright I will bite. What is she saying is happening that is different from what we already know? I mean people being dumped out of town by the police and freezing to death is kind of hard to explain away, don't you think? Is she claiming they left on their own free will? Is it a set up? Enquiring ... |

According to reports on CBC the bombing took out 36 militants, and villagers in the remote, mountainous area are described as being terrified by the "earsplitting blast"..... What bothers me is where in Hell do they expect to find the 2592 virgins to satisfy these "martyrs"........ |

Ok, what was this? Back in the late '80s, Frenchman River, Saskatchewan, we were hunting mulies in November. I was alone and shot a big buck a long ways from camp down a big ravine, I walked back to camp for help. After a rum or two we organized to go get the buck, three guys in the cab, three guys ... |

Fuck this is weird to get used to... It's just after midnight and I just got home from work a little while ago. First time I've done the late (closing) shift at this new job. Has its ups and downs as compared to doing the day shift but I'm going to roll with it. I just know I'll be awake for awhile... |

Interesting story percolating here on the prairies. Most informed posters will recall the Saskatoon Starlight Tours, a story that grabbed national attention a few years back. Saskatoon police were routinely detaining Native men and dumping them outside of town on cold winter nights, some froze to de... |

I suspect the reason Trudeau can minimize spending on the Armed Forces is that we in Canada are not quite sure what to do with them anymore. We're not really into peacekeeping anymore, we had a few adventures in Africa and Afghanistan that produced little more that a bunch of PTSD, and now we're jus... |

I've been fascinated with North Korea for a long time now, its the last of the Stalinist states, and I'm amazed they can keep this madness up for so long. The first thing I looked for when I got Google Earth, was the detention camps in the mountains, yep, there they were. I read the bio of that poor... |
