For 550 000 you could get 2500 sq feet , double garage in a very nice community with a half hour commute to downtown by car or 45min to an hour by transit (save big bucks on downtown parking). 400 still buys a nice house on the same block! | btw, I believe the city I am living in has the highest housing price , you can't find a decent housing for <$800,000 in Vancouver. I kind of doubt house price in other city will surprise me anymore. Do you have to live in the actual city? Because the suburbs are a lot less, both here and there. ... |

| Housing will be a bargain in Calgary considering what you're paying. Maybe you could buy a big house with a suite above the garage....Tritium will be happy to rent it from you :lol: well, I am not saying I can afford a house of that price, that is another reason I would love to move to an relativel... |

| What I would suggest you do is take a trip there first, see if you like the city...have you been there before? Thanks everyone for your answer, great information and help! No, I have never been to Calgary before, we are planning to go and pay a visit this spring or summer, I hope the short trip can... |
