The more free you are the more inventive and creative you can be. Canada lacks far more than just in diversity, though this in itself is a big problem. We need a cultural shift. We hire government employees and generously pay them $100k a year of tax payers money though they need not compete in the ...
If this was a totalitarian police state the contable wouldn't have faced an ivestigation much less been charged with murder.
\ Right. So would you bet your life that this officer would be facing a murder charge if no video were present? As of 2010, I believe the numbers from the SIU ...

I don't want him working as a police officer, there's no doubt about that. Furthermore, it is customary for a person charged with murder to spend 24 hours in prison, the courts let him turn himself in while a free man. Now the publication ban. You want fairness, it works both ways. No special treat...

Secret courts and secret justice is not justice at all. Our legal system is the will of the people to enforce judgement on someone, if the people are kept in the dark, they can not give assent or support to the legal action. I agree 100% If someone is guilty of something, charge them, let the entir...

And now... The publication ban! Gotta love democracy in Canada. This is just one of the reasons our allies don't trust us, why wouldn't such an important trial be allowed equal coverage as any other trial? In the U.S these trials are shown on tv 24/7, in Canada we censor the proceedings... Because ...

You kind of have that backwards. He is innocent. The case to prove him guilty will have to be super strong.
This. Which is why a murder charge is not the proper charge...Zimmerman all over again...

So, what is the guy that Tasered the corpse charged with? I guess that it won't be murder 'cause he was already dead. I don't know what he was charged with, but he should be forced to take Biology 101 or "common sense" studies...again, how does someone like this become an officer? Is that...

I said from day one that this cop will not only not go to prison, but he will continue to work, running around the streets with a gun on him. The conflict of interest and concern for democracy should be obvious here. They obviously are going to overcharge knowing that now he will walk since they won...
[B-o] Everyone, police or civilian, should be treated this way.
Let me tell you, that this is not the case. The undercover security apparatus from the police to CSIS, accuse, try and convict many citizens and give them a life sentence, and they hear nary a peep from their accusers...
Fair enough, but we also allow for everyone to defend themselves. We should convict someone based on grainy CCTV footage. I seriously want to hear what this guy has to say for himself.
Absolutely, he is innocent until proven guilty, noone is more committed to the Rule of Law then me...
