Brenda Brenda:
Kids don't mind, I'm sure of that. Either way...
Kids also don't mind having teachers strike for a month, but we both know it's not good for them.
$1:
But, they don't take it out entirely, but just everyday. They will keep it up monthly.
Fuck that.
$1:
Then... Where does it say exactly IMMIGRANTS wanted this?

It doesn't, but when claiming religious reasons, it's not far out there to assume they are immigrants. Or their parents were. Otherwise there is a whole new breed of crazy among today's kids.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Brenda Brenda:
Tricks Tricks:
High school or elementary school? High school I can understand. Elementary school is unacceptable.

My kids (elementary school) do not, and never have, sung the anthem daily.

Jesus Christ.

I'm glad I went to much of my Elementary in Manitoba. They still do it a lot for at least Elementary over there.

In case anyone misunderstood, let me rephrase... (y'know, bein' an immigrant and all)

The school does not play the anthem everyday.

C, we rarely, if ever, agree. But in this case we do. Taking out the National anthem as a daily routine is just one step towards it being phased out entirely. Time to put on our fucking skirts, cause we are turning into Europe and giving into every little demand of some jack off who doesn't like how we currently do things.

Who cares? It's not relevant.

That's sad. I've always thought of BC as one of the best, if not the best province. But if that's true, then I might have to rethink that.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
That's a bit more understandable then.

In Manitoba, we SUNG it everyday though.

Even then, I was pretty proud of it.

We didn't sing it. It was played, and you could sing, or you could listen. Past a certain age most opted to listen. Which is fine too.

It's not relevant to the original discussion. You and Lily both claimed the anthem isn't played daily. Who cares? It's not about that. It's about a fringe group imposing their beliefs and ending a tradition.

Not only that, but in what religion does it state you aren't allowed to hear the national anthem? What religion states that you are damn yourself to hell if you hear a national anthem?

MrC and Tricks find it pretty important, so I take it they might care?
