Natives never lose in court so I expect this law to be tossed out in full one day, no matter how sensible it is to have some kind of watchdog with oversight powers supervising the activities of the Native leadership. Common sense has been consistently losing in Canadian courts for a long time now, ever since the Trudeau days, and there's no reason to believe it won't stop losing anytime soon.
