What’s the point of sharing this story?

I'm pretty sure it's intended to point out that being an asshole isn't reserved for any one specific political party or ideology.

Other than that, it's just funny to see the people who howl the most outed for being just as bad or even worse than what they vilify.

That's like posting a picture of a black bear to highlight they're black.

Anyone with an IQ over 10 knows that there are awful people from all walks of life and there are tens of thousands of incidents like this in the US on a daily basis.

This is a petty game of "See, they're bad too". It's like when we're children and we get in trouble and we point at our brother and say "Yea, but he did this...."

It serves no purpose and solves nothing.

It's the hypocrisy.

Put this one together with stories like the Democrat who shot up the Republican charity baseball practice or facts showing how anti-gun Dems like Michael Moore rely heavily on armed guards while they lecture the hoi poloi on how they must disarm. Better they should be defenseless.

These may be things that some don't want others to know, but what can you say? Good luck with that.

True, but when totally innocuous threads are peppered with Trump did this, Trump bad, those horrible Republicans etc, from the usual suspects, one would expect some sort of retaliation. Turning the other cheek gets no one anywhere.
