Stupid, but aside from scaring/angering the citizens of NYC, who the hell would want photos of an airliner flying in close proximity to American national landwarks anyway? Don't we already have very distinct impressions of that image?

Better question. Why didn't they use a fucking helicopter? A low flying helicopter over NYC would be as scary as pigeons.

They were taking photos of the 747, so obviously they needed the 747, and I don't know, but I don't think helicopters would be easily able to keep up with it to take photos.

Wow on the same day I kinda come back too hello Kitty!!

First off It's been 8 years since 9-11 I guess the American public just isn't ready for jetliners flying at low leve;s over major cities and financial districts who knew???

At least it was being closely followed by F-16s.. ya i can see how some people would FREAK out just a bit...

On the other side of the news apparently there is a job opening in the Whitehouse press department for a manager.
