For weeks, a mysterious figure on social media talked up plans for antifa protesters to converge on this historical site on Independence Day to burn American flags, an event that seemed at times to border on the farcical. “Let’s get together and burn f

"See that flag? I love that flag so much I would die for it!"

Well gosh sir, if it means that much to you, here. Take it. We'll get another one from the fucking Dollar Store. Get your wife to cut it up into masks and make it useful.

People protecting their public property is not an act of extremism. Threatening to do so is an act of extremism.

And I suspect that this month will see Antifa and Marxist extremists getting shot by people who are protecting their country.

It is if you shoot them. Or use any disproportionate force.

I can't believe you said that, protecting is stupid but threatening is ok?

ANTIFA at the core I see. Look who is stupid now.

What was threatened? I only see them saying they were going to gather to burn flags.

Given that statement it's quite apparent you somehow think of yourself as smarter than the volunteers who served their country in the military, put their lives on hold and gave up all the benefits of civilian life just so people like you could enjoy those freedoms?

And, while I didn't always agree with your point of view I used to at least respect it but now that your true feeling have come out, not anymore. So, given this revelation I have to ask you one question. What have you done for your country besides pay taxes and take the benefits others sacrifices have given you?

Because, sadly calling people stupid for protecting our democracy and the freedoms you enjoy is absolutely wrong no matter how you feel about the person who served?

That's exactly what I mean. Peaceful protest is a right. Burning a flag was protected speech in Texas v Johnson.

And you take the extremist view that people doing these things might get shot for it. They win. Instead, you should use their tactics and get them to show up for non-existent protests and make them look like fools.

    Yawn.

    Mercs are mercs.

Dumb ones enlist, smart ones go direct to the corporate level.

Saying it or not saying it doesn't change a single thing about it.
