The dream of a new, domed stadium for the Saskatchewan Roughriders one that might cost $100 million or more is again generating some buzz in Regina.
I'm against the dome, at least until they fix highway 32. And maybe that hospital in Moose Jaw, then we can spend money on a dome. The outdoor games are a blast anyway.

CFL Football should never be played in a dome. It's a sacrilege.
The only things that should be in a dome are monster truck rallies, political conventions, 10,000 flood victims and girlie sports like the NFL.

It's obvious you were never at a BC Lions game played in the old Empire Stadium!

As the matter of fact I was on numerous occasions and I found that the atmosphere and ambience of the game to be 100% better than the pillow dome.
The only problem with Empire stadium was if you got a seat behind one of the famous pillars, other than that the experience was alot more intimate than BC Place.
Sorry old guy, I should have added ...in a torrential downpour with the wind whipping in off Burrard Inlet...THAT was miserable, even when we were winning....

I agree but then again with the right amount of antifreeze in your system it wasn't all that bad.
Don't get me wrong I still love going to BC Place to watch football but it just seems to be too sterile, especially when there's no weather to factor in. Maybe it's just where and how I grew up.
"Hyack" said Sounds like it was about the same place and time as me...but, remember...welcome to the 21st century...
Why thank you.
As the matter of fact I just picked up my first 21st century piece of technology, a cell phone. Now if I could only figure out how it works, damn advances in technology. What was wrong with crank phones anyway?
$100 mil is cheap. The Kings basketball team wants Sacramento to pony up $1.5 billion for a new arena.
There's only 1 million people in the entire province of Saskatchewan...
