The Boyd sisters have been raised singing the national anthem every day, but a New Brunswick school has silenced their morning ritual.

Who are these proud parents that are concerned about singing the NATIONAL anthem ?

But, I can see it now..
One parent says.. meh, my kid will learn it at hockey.
Another says.. meh, it's not so important, he will pick it up from tv.
So many others will just say nothing, afraid to rock the boat and stand up for the
country, in an effort of appeasement.

Evil prevails when good men do nothing.

And so the destruction of our country continues.

Truly, I went to elementary school in N.B. Every day was the Anthem and God Save the Queen.. and I survived. ;)

WTF? Some parents didn't want their child singing OUR national anthem? who the hell do these people think they are? you are in Canada. This is our Anthem, if there is a problem with O Canada, please, leave.

Obviously llama, they arent leaving, and we are as usual bending over backwards
to destroy ourselves in order to appease them.

Some things happening in Canada make me really sad.

What am i missing about this? Who are these "upset" parents and why aren't their "concerns" being publicly stated in the article? Methinks something is rotten in the state of Denmark - this is either crappy journalism, an hidden agenda by the principle (and who's buying his rather vague justifications?) or some very misguided, misinformed parents (and isn't it convenient that we don't know their reasoning) who are receiving a disproportional amount of clout.

once again, general outrage by everyone but nothing will happen.

I bet the people, students, parents, community in NB won't say boo.

    How very typically Canadian.

If these people don't like Canada, perhaps they should move south.

I doubt they'd have to sing Oh Canada in the United States.

What could possibly be offensive about O Canada?
