Less than an hour after playing in the Calgary Flames 3-0 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers Monday night, Olli Jokinen and Brandon Prust were bound for Broadway, dealt to the New York Rangers in exchange for Chris Higgins and Ales Kotalik.

Now their just sitting there rocking back and forth in the fetal position.
It was quiet, can expect a win with 4 new guys though. Personally I see this trade as freeing up dollars to do something with and I think we won't see these guys for long, expect another trade involving some of the new blood. I hope the keep White though.
jokinen was viewed as a huge failure in calgary as when he was traded there he was suppose to be much better , and ended up never delivering much of anything . it doesn't surprise me they traded him to whoever wanted him
"QBC" said They could have traded him for a new set of tires for the zamboni and been the winners on that deal.
You're right on that one.
He probably would have been great on a line with the 'cupcake twins' in Vancouver...they're racking up the points this year so maybe they could have woken the Jokin (en).
I've got bad news for the Sutters, it isn't gonna help. The Flames'll be lucky to make the playoffs and if they do they'll likely get bounced in the first round.
All these trades point to a fresh start NEXT YEAR.
Yes but look how often the Flames have been bounced in the first round with GREAT teams...recently it has happened often. It wouldn't surprise me either to see them go in the first round but I think that the Flames may still have a big move to make and I think it is time that people realize that Brent isn't Darryl when it comes to coaching. Yeah, I have said it before about a squillion times.
