I don't know if the principal was justified in his actions. I doubt it tho - over the student refusing to hand over a cell phone?
But as someone in the article says:
A friend was saying, had the situation been in reverse, had that been a white principal who took the same action against a black student, would the outcome have been the same? said Wayne Coady, a father of three grown children. There could have been a riot.
Damn straight - the "black community" would have had a conniption fit. And, if the principal had been white, he'd be looking for a job right now.

WTF does the colour of his skin have to do with what happened???
Ask his black supporters who were demonstrating. If this was a white principal and a black student, you can bet those same demonstrators would be out there calling for his nuts.
The kid pushed the principal, principal restrainted the kid, never hit the kid. I don't see what the problem is, I don't see why this is a racial issue.
If teachers can't get away with this, I don't see how they can safely do their job.

I wouldn't blame her entirely. No, she shouldn't have given her husband her password, but come on - how many of us have done the same thing. You trust that your spouse isn't going to do anything malicious with your private/personal information (after all, if you can't trust your spouse, who can you trust?), and unfortunately, sometimes people get burned.
Meh, the real juice is the source of the leak. Namely the chair of the school boards husband. I think she should lose her job and perhaps get a divorce.

The Principal didn't hit him... just kept the guy in a choke hold so he could not fight back.
The kid needs an ass kicking if you ask me.
