That's life in South Africa for you. The government did a good job to keep what's actually going on there out of sight of the cameras for the World Cup, but now its business as usual.

Isn't South Africa considered the top country when it comes to violent crime?

Actually it is my brother has a South African Room mate who moved back to Pretoria. The things you do to fortify your home there might be considered illegal here.

Audrei has two guard dogs that will bite your throat out is you look at his family wrong and a chain link fence with Razor wire up at the top.

My brother asked Audrie is this was more more than a bit extream. He sai no in fact he is looking at reinforcing his home. It is getting weird down there.

I can't remember the name of the show, but a few years ago it showed some of the things S. Africans are doing for personal safety. Razor wire and dogs was only the start. Some farmers had lined their property with anti personel mines! 8O

But my favourite was the anti-car jacking device. Huge propane cylinder with feed tubes running to the outside of the doors. Car jacker approaches, you hit a button and poor little car jacker gets cooked!
