    Even if they do meet up, the army's strict non-fraternization policy means they're not allowed a hug or a even a peck on the cheek to mark the season

    I agree doesnt it say in the CFAOs that you may hug or kiss someone on the cheek but only as a greeting?

    Does it place a limit on how many times you can greet someone in a given space of time? Or how long the kiss and hug may last?

    No, but you can tell the difference between a greeting and a snog.
