Two men have been handed conditional sentences and a third man will spend one day in jail for a B.C. assault that went viral on YouTube and was characterized as a hate crime.
It was more of a consensual fight than an assault. They insulted him, he threw a water bottle at them, so you can say he started the fight, understandably so. To me there are certainly way worse judicial travesties than this judgement.
Agreed Andy. They should have all been charged with disturbing the peace or something related for what I understand was a mutual fight. If it was ok to huck objects at everyone who insulted me or swore at me I'd be in a fist fight every night of work. Just shrug it off loser and if they come after you then you've been attacked.
