''I have an army. Not weapons, but wisdom''

Beijing considers the Dalai Lama to be a dangerous separatist seeking to lead Tibet in breaking away from China. But he has repeatedly stated that his goal is for greater Tibetan autonomy rather than independence.

China calls him a Terrorist. I wonder about anyone who is terrified when they hear him speak.

He is far from a terrorist but he scares the hell out of the Chinese Communists.

Morally denying him a visa is wrong, but RSA and China are close trading partners, and China is investing billions in infrastructure projects all across the nation.

China is not threatening, they simply have the ability to put their money where their mouth is. The west lost most of its clout in much of Africa. On the other hand China is pumping billions into the continent directly.

Letting the Dalai Lama into South Africa is quite simply put, bad for business.
