Well at least Parliment is voting on giving the Minister these new powers.He is not just taking it upon himself to change immigration law as he sees fit without anyone else having a say on the matter, just to pander to a certain sect of the electorate a few months before an election.

I wonder if Micahel Moore or Noam Chomsky will be turned away at the border for "public policy" reasons.
And the support for the right belies there supposed support for small government adn freedom. They want Big Government adn are happy to give away all their freedoms if only the gummint will make them feel safer.
We have enough home-grown idiots and criminals without importing other country's crims.
