Car and foot traffic continued a declining trend as BC Ferries experienced a drop of 1.7 per cent in vehicle traffic and 2.4 per cent in passenger traffic.

The way these thieving bastards run their business I'm surprised the drop in traffic wasn't more like 17%. I'm guessing Gunnair is happier than a pig in shit over this news.....

8O Not at all. I need the mainland plebes to show up, spend cash on my Island, then promptly leave.

That includes you, Hyack. The goat on the Coombs roof needs feeding and one old goat to another might just do the trick!

And here I thought, with your obvious, well documented talents regarding the care and nurturing of old goats you would have had a lifetime contract for that job already sewn up, as for myself, if I chose to make the extremely gruelling trip over to the island, I would more than likely be thinking about trying to do something to alleviate the numerous cougar problems they've been having on the West coast..... 8)

Hey, where'd you get the picture of the reigning Coombs Blue Grass Festival Queen?

BTW I was pretty drunk but I think I used to play darts against her in the Frontiersman way back during the last Century.

Ahh, yes the Frontiersman, the only pub in Canada that if you didn't show up wearing a set of black rubber boots, a Port Alberni Dinnner jacket accesorized with a large bag of dope you were underdessed. 8O

Don't know about the 90's but from what I saw in the mid 80's no self respecting female peeler would ever set foot in the Frontiersman especially since it's harder than hell to pole dance in galoshes. :D
