In what should be a time of happiness when Muslims mark the end of Ramadan, Islamist militants in Iraq celebrated Eid by releasing a video showing scenes of them carrying out genocide.

A Murdoch-owned newspaper known for pushing a blatant neo-con interventionist agenda to be applied to every state in the Middle East. The sidebar story on Orlando Bloom trying to punch out Justin Bieber is about as serious, and more than indicative about what kind of rag the Daily Mail is.

Don't believe them. They're a steroided-up British version of FOX that endlessly pushes for the Forever War ideology. ISIS are truly evil bastards but this paper is at the heart of the "we gotta do something!" mentality that led to the original Iraq disaster in 2003 that set all this craziness off in the first place.

    Ummmm... no.

ISIS videos are all over the place these days, and I don't think
    they are faked.

Trying to blame the messenger just won't work, you can find this stuff
    on dozens of websites.

I'm sure the event was real, just as I'm sure the call to intervene (again) is soon to follow. Read elsewhere that one of Dick Cheney's few disappointments over his time in office was that the US didn't go into Iran the same time that they went into Iraq. These people are not capable of being reasoned with because they are not capable of admitting that their policies and agendas were ever wrong to begin with. The Daily Mail is part of this constellation of interventionist maniacs. The story is true but they're going to milk the fuck out of it as a justification for more intervention. It's all inevitable. " ISIS is the evilest of evilers in the entire evil history of mass evildom". The entire sickening schtick writes itself easier than even the dumbest of Two And A Half Men episodes do. :|

Truly Evil Bastards. With Ukraine, Nigeria, Israel and Iraq/Syria, it's been a pretty bloody reign of Truly Evil Bastards liately. Or maybe I'm just watching the news too much lately.

With the cultural sophistication that's endemic to the region if it looks fake to Western sensibilities then it's the real thing. But if it looks genuine then it's probably fake.

The moslems in general are so over the top with their emotions when it's inappropriate and then so reserved and detached when it's also inappropriate that a video of people being killed by fanatics all while appearing as if they don't care...well, that's how they roll.

This smells a lot like the FGM story about ISIS last week. It may or may not be true, but ISIS is so horrible it seems plausible.

There are a lot of stories that come out of mainstream media that prove to be less or more than what they appear at first press.

Ever heard me bitching about science by press release stories from the apocalyptic division of the MSM? There are a lot of press releases that turn out to be bogus after a week's investigation, you just don't hear about them, because the MSM does not follow up on those particular stories. Remember "OMG...Polar vortex...warm weather is making things colder...science says." Well, as an example that, of course, was bullshit. Yes the Polar Vortex can connect us to the cold. No, warm weather does not cause it. But you wanna talk Daily Mail? That was BBC and The Guardian.

A bunch of the stories that broke last week out of the Palestinian conflict proved to be a little dodgy on the details of blame for the perp when pics began to come out showing details of Hamas rocket fire as more plausible explanations, or videos were found of mortar fire coming out of supposedly innocent schools or hospitals.

After some investigation the FGM thing looked to be more a regional story that began amongst the Kurds. Perhaps a rumor on its way to Urban legend status, but there were official claims to veracity from police and the UN. At this point though, it's who knows? Wasn't that one Al Jazeera or Al Arabiya or something like it?

As to this particular story I'll be honest. I first heard about it on a counter jihad blog. They were making a big deal of it, so I Googled for a mainstream article to post here. Daily Mail's was the first I found.

Here's where I first saw the story though. He claims the "Caliphate" first released the video.
