    Local councillor Juan Manuel Romano said the digits 269 on the number plate of the Ford Mustang were close to the 255 Britons killed during the 1982 war - and the numbers 646 on the Lotus could be taken as a reference to the 649 Argentinian casualties.

    A nice show of just how retarded the Argies really are.

    269 = 255
    646 = 649

    yup, that's the math.

    No wonder their economy is so deep in the shitter with math skills like that.

    Clarkson's good for stirring up controversy, but I don't think this is a case of it.

    Saying that most truck drivers in the UK are out killing prostitutes - check.

    Saying that Mercedes sat nav systems always seem to choose a route through Poland - check.

    Painting a car up with "Hillary for President" and "Say yes to Man-Man Love" and driving it from Florida to Louisiana - check.

    But this? Sorry Argies, you bought underwear two sizes too small.

    And those teeth. ;)

    Actually, I cringed when he had his accident, and I genuinely respect him for his recovery.

    I always belly laugh at those guys.

    When James May called a Mexican built sports car "The Tortilla" Hammond said :"Cars reflect national characteristics ... a Mexican car's just going to be a lazy, feckless, flatulent oaf with a moustache, leaning against a fence asleep, looking at a cactus with a blanket with a hole in the middle on as a coat."

    He was afraid of being killed when he went to Mexico to read test the car. 8O

    As much as I love top gear I think that the plates were deliberate. They've had fun with number plates before.
