Officials are warning residents across southwestern British Columbia to brace for more rain and high winds after a brutal storm struck the area on Saturday, knocking down trees and leaving thousands without power.

    New commandment: Thou shalt not ridicule 'Preppers'. They are the only ones in (the lower mainland) with light and heat and food for the next few days. :!:

    I'm good for heat and light and water (even soap and toilet paper), but I always get into my prep food before the apocalypse. Damn. :(

    This weekend I went through a 30 hour power outage. Hopefully there are no trees left to cause another. :lol:

    I always plan to survive for 48 hours at 40 below. If I (and my pets) can do that, everything else is easy.

    After that, I'm going to a hotel.

    I survived, but ya wasn't really prepared for it. It was boring as hell though. :lol:
