As the article says, there are serious vulnerabilities in Quicktime, and Apple is no longer supporting it. Meaning those vulnerabilities won't be patched and will very soon (like tomorrow!) be used as exploits by people looking to infect your computer with their malware and trojans.

Quicktime isn't used anymore, so you might as well get rid of it now.

DrC's instructions work for XP users, but if you have Win 7, open the Start menu, select Control Panel, then select Programs and Features.

After the list populates, scroll down and if you have it, click it. You will then be given the option to uninstall it.

If you have Win 8 or 10, you're fucked!

Just kidding, go to Microsoft.com and look it up.

Windows 10 was just as easy: click the "Windows icon", click "All apps", click "QuickTime", click "uninstall".

If you have Windows 8 get rid of it. Now!
Right click Start on Windows 10 to get the familiar Control Panel.
You probably got Quicktime when you installed iTunes a long time ago. And it's never even fired up for anything.

Okay, I'm running Windows 8.1, why would I want to upgrade to Windows 10? What advantages are there, ease of operating, safety and vulnerability?
