Too bad the Cameron government didn't think enough of the history of the property while they were playing Austerity Heroes during their gutting of the armed forces. The now owners at least say they'll respect the history of the place, which is good. If they'd sold it off to Donald Trump or Sheldon Adelson the building would have been demolished already and replaced by a garish casino filled wall-to-wall with gambling machines and prostitutes.
