Forum: Current Events   Topic: Green leader trails MacKay in Atlantic region: poll

About a year back, I got to see a fascinating clip of May, in a debate forum of sorts, tear a Tory representative apart on the topic of Trade, of all things. She demonstrated a clearly superior understanding of that topic, and has since then gone on to demonstrate her surprising thoughts on many oth...

Of course Baird is making it sound like it is one or the other. In the absence of a plan they can claim is better than Dion's, all they have is the, "The Liberals are wrong" strategy. I'm a social liberal who actually has some faith in the market. While I agree that a cap and trade system ...

I don't care about the politics of global warming and big oil, and all that garbage. My problem with this sort of thing is based on principles, and it is this: You do not EVER stand in front of science. Science is not political, and these reports are just a long list of facts, the process' that the ...

Why is it that in a country that allows for more than two parties, in the face of the top two parties failing blindingly, not enough people are voting for a third or fourth party to at least just threaten these arrogant, self righteous Conservatives and utterly brainless, directionless Liberals int...

The worst part is that Dunkin Donuts actually took the complaint seriously and pulled the ad. Their response should have been: Dear Ms. Malkin Fuck you and the horse you rode in on. I think they did the right thing and got great pr. The big loser is Malkin here. Yea, from a PR standpoint, the compa...

Ah, I might do that, actually. I've been feeling the need to read a good Politic Science book. Actually, I have to read one, it was started to get to me how little I've been learning these past couple weeks, so I went out and bought a book called "The Way it Works: Inside Ottawa," by Eddie...

You more or less just listed all the reasons I hate the Liberal party, however you don't have to be in power to be arrogant. You don't have to win to be arrogant. You simply have to be arrogant to be arrogant, you simply have to think that you're better than everyone else to be arrogent. I'm not say...

Yes, actually. So as to protect the lives of people who are wrongfully accused, prosecuted, and sometimes convicted, we protect the rights of all criminals. It is for the good of the wrongfully accused that we pay this price.

these arrogant, self righteous Conservatives. That's rich for a party that hasen't been in power for the last decade. Kind of hard to be arogant when you're been cut back to 2 seats. So how long have you been following politics in you're whole 19 years? I like to think that if people look and vote ...

Of course, I defended the judge's defense of the guy's rights on the basis that there were rights there that might be infringed upon, not just a judge saying he was worrying of infringing on rights so as to keep the video from becoming public for some unknown reason.

You haven't even seen the video yet... don't judge it. Aliens are a possibility, that can exist and possible encounter earth. True. Wouldn't it be ironic, in the face of all the silly international political bullshit that is flying around, to have aliens just show up? This definetly sounds like a p...

The article that ridenrain posted, from about two years ago, puts up a number of $30 billion stolen from the fund, and the article this thread is about quotes a number of over $50 billion. This would suggest that both parties were taking the money, and now the Conservatives are, in cohorts with the ...

I only have one thing to say, and that is this. Members of the Conservative Party of Canada, you cannot place judgement upon something such as a film until such time as you have seen it, and even then, you have to listen to the opinion of others around you (members of other parties, and citizens of ...
