| Dead beats include old and infirm? Were sponsored health care limited to the old and infirm (the way it used to be in the USA) I'd be just fine with it. The problem is that a bunch of morons came along and decided that healthcare is a "right" that extends to people who have bigger familie... |

lily lily: I believe the dollar is a cent or 2 less than the US one right now.
That won't seem bad at all...I'm in Europe at least twice a year and have seen the US dollar beaten to hell by the Euro!!

| I don't have a GP either... however, like others here I've never found this to mean I couldn't get in to see a doctor... just that I don't have a specific doctor that I see every time. But it's not like you'll go without. I have great peace of mind now, knowing that I'm not up sh*t creek every time... |

| Thanks! Your point is well taken! Interestingly, my great-grandparents immigrated to Detroit from Maidstone Ontario in the 1890's, so I actually have Canadian roots.
