Hi Chemo, That's why I chose to open my own forum! I welcome controversy and 'spice'....so long as it doesn't get 'physical'....Or overly vulgar, no problem

Thanks for the link, and well wishes!

I am never out side more than 30 seconds

You're kidding yourself if you think that there are no pollutants inside. Especially living in a big city. Unless of course you live in a plastic bubbl.

For the record - I don't smoke. I grew up in a haze of smoke, and am healthy as a horse. Now I DO agree that one shouldn't smoke in the car with their kids - it's ignorant - BUT that's not up to the gov't to enforce, there are far more important things for the police to do than to chase some person ...

Every single one of those studies is brought into question by the presence of contaminats in the air, Ralph. There is no valid, uncontaminated control group available and without a control group there is no scientific study...it all becomes anecdotal evidence at best and that is brought into questi...

The problem with creating a law that bans smoking with kids in the car is that the police won't know if there are children in the car until they pull the car over and have a look. Most modern vehicles have tinted rear windows [both of mine do] You can't tell if there's an adult in the back, let alon...

Oh please! It's a joke. If the gov't really gave a rats ass about our health or the health of our children they would just bite the bullet and ban tobacco altogether. They'll never do it, though. Man, if everyone who smokes quit smoking- The gov't would probably start begging people to light up.

That's the point ralph! Did you need someone to police your parenting to tell you not to smoke in your car? I agree - smoking in the car- BAD. Most parents know that! Really the only people I know anymore that smoke in their cars are my parents generation. None of my friends smoke in their vehicles,...

They choose to demonise one very small part of the problem and ignore the rest. Sorry, that's not acceptable. Want to ban smoking around children in privately owned property? Then that property should be certified absolutely toxin free. No plywood or OSB, no laminates, no plastics, only biologicall...

I'm not the least bit surprised, I don't think anyone else really would be either. Once there is a successful ban on smoking in all public [and private] places, they will likely move on to other irritants like perfume, a total ban on peanut butter shouldn't be too far behind - after all it's proven ...

I initially was curious to see the video - but the description on the news was enough for me. I have a pretty strong stomach and am sure I could 'handle' it - I think the main reason I don't watch, is on some things - I'd prefer to 'be in the dark' so to speak.

Like I said I really wouldn't have seen these except for the fact that someone had put it up on the computer . Did someone hold your head and force you to watch it? Or could you have simply walked away? I'm not trying to be condescending - I simply don't understand why anyone would want to watch. I...

I think people have already become desensitized - I mean look how much attention the first 'beheading video' recieved, as compared to those since. I think by watching them you are slapping the victim and the family of the victim in the face. It's only out of a sick morbid curiousity that someone wou...
