Outraged, absolutely outraged, folks are so mad at this descent into communism that they're threatening to move to Canada . Why ever bother paying to go to a stand-up club when the slo-mo trainwreck of daily life provides you with all the free comedy you'll ever need? Moving to Canada? 8O OMG...

I'm just not seeing a downside to a generally warmer planetary climate. That said, I'm far more concerned about the prospect of cooling than I am about warming. If things cool down that means lower crop yields and that means famine. It also means a decline in the hydrological cycle and that means i...

Oh yes, I agree that the increase in atmospheric CO2 is primarily anthropogenic. Industrial activity has contributed to water pollution which contributes to acidity and dead zones and increased CO2 in the oceans which is then released into the atmosphere. I don't think it's solely industrial activit...

I am not sure what you are getting at, Nuggets. There are no conflicting reports. There is virtually unanimous agreement among scientists that the Earth is warming and that C)2 driven forcings are the cause. CO2 produced by man. Undersea volcanoes etc. have little to do with this. The Earth has bee...

From the article posted in the OP - .... in its paper, the Met Office claimed that the consequences now would be negligible – because the impact of the sun on climate is far less than man-made carbon dioxide. Although the sun’s output is likely to decrease until 2100, ‘This would only cause a reduct...

Take a look at this site. It has all the pictures on it and they can be clicked on to be expanded. You can see better there that they're images laid over top of other images. http://gizmodo.com/5859081/why-is-china ... the-desert

All those news services and science websites are suckers. Yup. Kind of dismaying when you think about it that news services and science websites would fall for that without double checking the authenticity of it themselves. If you go to those coordinates on google earth and google maps there's noth...

It's on Google Earth. What possible reason would there be to do this? Just to screw with people? if there was a hole in Google Earth that let people cram in their own imagery I don't know why this would be what they did. You'd think it would be something like pornography or expletives or something....

Some photo hacker has been playing with pictures. They're false. If you copy any of those pictures then increase the exposure of them on a photo editing program you can see they're all pictures of other things in other places that have been laid over top of the google maps pictures. Clever, but the...

Please do explain. Anything that depicts sexual abuse of a child is not funny. If you think it's funny then that makes you guilty of child abuse even if it's only in your own mind. You have just openly admitted on a public forum that you are at least psychologically a child sex abuser and you think...

I realize this makes me sound like an elitist snob or someone with a superiority complex or whatever, but I just have to say it. The Americans that are on this board are stellar folks who seem to be intelligent, well educated and outgoing people who are interested in global affairs and what makes th...

We're not a British colony or satellite state anymore and haven't been for many decades...... This will probably be more harmful to recruitment than helpful because the youth of today and tomorrow don't see value in the Monarchy or possess any kind of "Mother Britain" mentality. So what? ...
