I'm slightly following the final scores. That's all the interest in it that I'm able to muster. I know... this season has been weird and I haven't paid nearly as much attention to it as I have in the past seasons. We sometimes channel surf and find something else to watch then check back in to a ga...

Well it's down to the final 4.

Tampa vs NY Islanders
Montreal vs Vegas

Thanks for reading. They are all open secrets but unless you live it or close to it it’s hard to understand. It’s hard for me to realize that you don’t know the stories and don’t realize they were still happening today. So much has changed and yet nothing has changed. I just hope that these things ...

I think there is a mindset that there is an endless supply of water and electricity "out there". Regardless of any efforts to encourage conserving these vital necessities I'm quite certain most people continue to, in any small or large way, overuse them. I spent a few years living in a rem...

I just finished making a batch of peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. It took 3 rounds of baking (I only have one decent baking sheet) and so, of course, my bf and I had to do a quality check on each batch.

Where the hell do Chinese restaurants get their supplies? Never seen garbage cuts for sale anywhere that the Chinese&Canadian Food* places serve. Last night we had: Century Old Boar passed thru wood chipper with Honey Garlic sauce. It was as bad as the Rubber Chicken Wings served by their compe...

A man who was out for a solo camping trip north of Campbell River made a gruesome discovery Wednesday: a dead black bear with a severed head. Sanjay Srivastava has been staying at the Big Bay campground and was making a quick trip into Campbell River when he noticed a flock of vultures circling at ...

Wonderfully cool today with a little bit of rain. A relief after a couple of very warm days with high humidity.

Tuesday night I barely slept as it was so warm and when I checked Environment Canada records it was no wonder as the humidity level was over 90%.

While the Vatican has refused to release residential school records, it isn’t the only body suppressing the racism and abuse experienced within these institutions. The Canadian government destroyed 15 tons of paper documents related to the residential school system between 1936 and 1944, including ...

Well I sure haven't been hiding. I've still worked 5 days/week during this whole thing and due to staff shortages haven't even taken any time off at all. Not that there would have been any point as with the restrictions it's not like we could have travelled anywhere anyway. Working essential retail,...

Booked my first shot yesterday. I get it in two weeks. I held off because I'm a stickler for letting the crowd thin out before I ever make a move. Just the way I am. Plus it increased the odds of getting Pfizer or Moderna as the supply of those increases instead of having to settle for AZ. Not look...
