Given that Canada just received another WTO ruling in its favor (overturning the previous US appeal), you would think that Canada would put this deal off. Seems to be worth $1 billion to delay it instead of forever giving up our right to seek this money back from the US.

New Yorkers felt that U.S. government officials "knew in advance that attacks were planned on or around September 11, 2001, and that they consciously failed to act." This is the only conspiracy theory that has any plausibility to it. The rest is nonsense and should be discarded; not becaus...

You’re right, what is generally cheaper in price in Walmart is what they call price leaders that they advertise in their flyers to get people in the door; otherwise, everything else is at most the same as anywhere else or more expensive. This is not to mention that the last time I bought something i...

You'd think Americans would be more assured since our government actually knew about these people long before they got anywhere near any buildings with a bomb, nevermind a plane. Maybe Americans should start seriously questioning why George Bush gutted the bulk of their safeguards against terrorist ...

Are you suggesting that the Latin American people chose the "free market system" as you put it? Even to call what has gone on in Latin America for 100+ years free market economics is a complete misnomer. A better phrase is unbridled capitalism fueled by unbridled greed, and yes this was pe...

Your facts are also a little bit crooked. According to a Calgary Herald editorial done a couple of months ago indeed "wealthy" Canadians pay 70% of income taxes in this country. Only problem was their idea of wealthy started at an annual income of $65,000. I would consider this income up t...

So far as I can see, the biggest complaint of the minority of farmers who don't want the CWB is that the CWB represents a monopoly. I would like to ask such people just who they think they will be selling their grain to without the CWB? The reality is that there are two or three companies to sell to...

<blockquote>As a result, new mechanisms are needed for regional and global governance that include actors other than states. This is not to argue that Microsoft, Amnesty International, or Goldman Sachs be given seats in the United Nations General Assembly, but it does mean including representa...

That's no insight at all. In fact, what he has said here is complete distortion of theories presented by Paul Hellyer for the use of the BofC. Hellyer's ideas concern using the BofC as a means of controlling the money supply and funding government programs and has never said to my knowledge that mon...

What a load of crap!!! While I certainly don't believe the story that the Bush administration's hands are clean, it's this sort of ridiculous thinking that feeds the "this is just nutty conspiracy theory so there is no need to listen" attitude that allows diversion from what likely actuall...

Add one more crime to the litany. Clear evidence has been given in a book called "The Book On Bush" of insider trading being committed by Bush when he was a director of Harken Energy. While it may not count towards an impeachment since it occurred before his presidency (I'm not sure of thi...

I was also of the opinion that these cartoons being published was simply a matter of free speech until I found out a couple of facts regarding this issue. First of all, the editor of the Danish paper that printed the cartoons had earlier rejected publishing a cartoon negatively depicting a ressurect...

Isn't that just the point though? They have been proven wrong again and again with eye witness accounts (Jewish, German, Polish, Ukrainian, etc.), the Germans own record keeping, etc. and yet these holocaust deniers won't accept any evidence brought before them that any person of reason would accept...
