"Special Interest Groups" get their name because they do not represent a majority. It sucks, certainly. But, there they are and here we are. Instead of Bush, the U. S. of A. would have the other guy as President directly because of the participation of organized, religious groups. Yikes! |

As long as there is comedy - there is hope.
As long as there is masturbation - there is a way out! |

And God said: "Son. I want you to do me a favour - a really, big favour. But, if you do this for me, you'll be farting in silk forever." As to: "Dying for my sins." This is one hell of a monstrous presupposition that a guy like me would be sinning his ass off 2000 years into the ... |

True story: When my son was much younger, I took my wife and him and paid a visit to the local zoo. As we approached a small group of people who were hanging around one of the monkey-cages, I noticed a small rhesus started wacking off like a, well... like a crazed rhesus. As the moms started hiding ... |

Actually, the accurate quote from scripture is: "And it shall come to pass that every day, the sun shall shineth once upon every dog's ass. And if that ass be cantakerous, so shall the ass rise up and smiteth the dog." That's from The Book of Pave - an insignificant little tome that was dr... |

Religionists, it seems, are running on a combination of - as Hunter Thompson used to put it - "Fear and Loathing". "Fear" of eternal damnation and "Loathing" of any ideas that are contrary. Add to that the untenable, personal consequences of a gaping, psychic hole that ... |

When I was first being trained to cousel people, one of the adages that I was made very much aware was: People will only allow and hold an awareness of that which substantiates or reinforces their already-existing beliefs. Any other contrary evidence or information will either be disregarded, discou... |

Nice list.
And when were these elements not a factor in the last, oh, I dunno.... 500 years or so....?
Damn, but people really will believe.... anything. |

Religions. Let's trade every last one of them in for a philosophy that respects the planet and the things that dwell over, under, in and below it. |

I read somewhere recently that fully 25% of Christians in America were preparing for The End to be coming... sometime this year! So much for sweating the car payments! I guess I will always be astounded at how some people can be made to believe.... anything. This would have to include the most ludic... |

Any God who would invent a Heaven and a Hell and arbitrarily place such a dilemma in front of the uneducated, non-evolved and ignorant (that would be us), is not only an extraordinary, spiritual terrorist, but a world-class Prick. This is just another looney concept dreamt up by those who would be i... |

The "problem" with masturbation lies in the beliefs and values that have been attached to it.
"Dirty", "evil" and "against God's will" would be a couple of those.
"Fun", "healthy" and "relaxing" might be a few others. |

It's not that Dion is untouchable, but unknown.
He still has a load of "See? I'm really a swell guy and wouldn't screw you." image-building to do.
That he is a member of The Liberal Party of Canada suggests his chore begins as an uphill struggle. |

What I prefer, is a later election rather that one sooner. This gives the Conservatives more time to organise and the Liberals more time to step in the left-overs of the south end of their north-bound bull. |

My point about Liberals being expert at manipulation is reinforced by the (above) comments of Stellar who lumps "Albertans" into one tidy, but undesirable lump. As one who was born and raised in Ontario; lived and worked in Montreal and moved to Calgary 30 years ago, I can attest to the id... |
