My "guess" would be "next to nothing" and all this "we wont buy Canadian sea food anymore" is just a ploy to promote there own cause. Seriously....how much seafood do you think the guy bought from us in the first place? The simple problem of logistics would lead me to belive very fucking little.

Scape I'm curious where you got the headline from? No where in the article does it mention 1000 restaurants, and if you go to Jimmy Buffets website you see that he has restaurants in seven locations. Even if he had multiple restaurants in those seven locations, it certainly doesn't come close to 1000 restaurants.

Why would you ban seafood if you were against the seal hunt though? What about those who fish salmon here how is that even related? Also I remember someone posted a video on here that shows what happens at some of the slaughter houses it makes the seal hunt look like a petting zoo. Unless you eat just plants chances are that meat on your plate was abused and tortured before it got there. Actually even growing those plants probably helped destroy or kill something.

A lot of the people who aprticipate in the seal hunt are fishermen in the season, but seal hunt in the winter. They hunt so they can survive. This is not about murderering cute seals, it is about the survival of families and communities in the Atlantic Provinces...

By boycotting Canadian fish, this man is only encouraging more fishermen to go on the hunt and to kill more seals. He's not helping in any way...
