I'm sorry but the beaver is just tired of taking it up the ass from you at trade talks.

by porscheboxster2001 on Aug 19, 2005

HAAAAAAAAA... that was a pretty good one! Yeh... the beaver is cool for Canada... but you have to admit that the Bald Eagle is one kick @ss symbol for American FREEDOM!? :)

by Kersus on Oct 14, 2005

Symbol of fright or something, always hunted illegally.

whatever it stands for, THAT'S ONE BIG DAMNED BIRD!!

by -Mario- on Feb 15, 2006

We have them here in Nova Scotia.... If you want to see them, just come down in the Annapolis Valley. We have more of those big birds in Canada than the States. About 10 years back, the Americans, came down here and tried to relocate some in DC.

by twister on Feb 15, 2006

sorry Brackenridge BC just south of Whistler has over 10,000 of these majestic birds....

by Blue_Nose on Feb 15, 2006

Mario didn't tell you that the reason they have so many in the Valley is because they throw chicken guts all along the river bank... they don't tell the tourists that, though!!

by lily on Feb 16, 2006

Sorry Twister... you can find thousands of Bald Eagles in Brackendale, not Brackenridge, B.C. Tourists from all over the US "flock" there to see their national bird.

by twister on Feb 17, 2006

oops brackendale.. I stand corrected..

by -Mario- on Feb 17, 2006

You are right Blue Nose... but they are here in the first place because the Valley is their natural habitat. We just get more now.

by Blue_Nose on Feb 18, 2006

I know, Mario... you can see nests along most highways in NS, especially between Halifax/Kentville, and usually a few circling around. I just think it's funny that the tourists aren't aware of how they get the birds to come specifically to the 'eagle watches'.

good eats

These birds are starting to come back to Southern Ontario too, saw a few in Windsor last summer along with a few nests.
Also saw one on the drive from Kelowna to Vernon, awesome birds to see.
