Some interesting quotes: 1. In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm and three or more is a congress. -- John Adams 2. If you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed, if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed. -- Mark Twain 3. Suppose...

If management is responsible for destroying the company through incompetence or theft, why should the workers be responsible for keeping the mismanagement going? I understand but what do you suggest ? We live in the real world. Even if it was the management's fault, if the company goes bankrupt, th...

Interesting! I wonder what prompted the change. Canada may benefit from this, in that it keeps medical researchers in Canada that are doing this type of research.

Frankly, aside from some CEOs, I think that most people deserve what they earn and should not have to be subject to a pay cut for any reason. You think labourers in an auto plant deserve $36 per hour in wages and $75 per hour in total benefits? Having not done the job, I readily admit that I do not...

Ziggy: I bet some would after the wife laid down the law. Time's get tough, you do what you can to survive,if it means picking bottles after an all night grad party to make that next mortgage payment then at least your trying. Downgrading from a $70.00/hour job to a $12.00/hour job and pushing...

I guess I have a hard time trying to understand why I who am not working at the time have to shell out EI premiums that will go to the laid off auto workers and the senior union members will be still working because of billions of dollars in bail out money so they can keep a job that I could do mor...

Can anyone suggest a PC compatible driving simulator program for rehabilitation purposes? Cost at even a few thousand dollars is no problem.

Unfortunately Chrysler is the most likely automaker to go under/chapter 11, even with a government bailout, so without any assurances related to viability the answer should be NO. The only other alternative would be a loan with plants and all assets in Ontario as collateral.

Don't get hung up on one case! All of Dr. Smith's cases were wrongly convicted due to bungling according to the papers and incompetence. If you were wrongly convicted of murder, do you have $300,000 available to launch an appeal? If you don't you would probably rot in jail. Would you wish that on an...

Everyone has the right to appeal, don't give me that shit. Put your tin-foil hat back on everything will be alright!

Ah, what shit? Do you happen to have $300,000 to launch an appeal, if it were necessary?

Lynne...meet Bibbi

Bibbi...meet Lynne,

You two are going to get along juuuust fine!

So, Yogi, that must mean that you like the idea of wrongfully convicted people staying in jail, because they cannot afford the legal fees to appeal.

I can't say that I understand that attitude or point-of-view.

Well, with Dr. Smith, an incompetent pathologist destroyed the lives of many women and Mr. Mullins and families by ensuring wrongful conviction for murder. Legal fees are expensive. I expect a fee of $300,000 from my lawyer on a completely different matter, unrelated to wrongful conviction. So, I fi...

He can't win and there's a good reason. If he did, then anyone could make false claims about missing articles. First of all, can he prove that the console was in his luggage? Can he prove the value? The 1 million for damages is frivolous and any judge will see that. What will the guy say, that the ...
