Why? He is doing such a great job with a minority, no pun intended. Why change something that is going so well? Because if he has a majority, he doesn't have Liberals or Blocs or NDP's threatening him with a forced election or any other threat. If I'm wrong, somebody correct me. He is already held ...

So if the melting icecaps disrupted the gulf stream and cooled off the northern Atlantic, the icecaps would then freeze back. Sort of a cyclic event. That is what I think it is. Only a cycle of events that then result back to status quo. But then again, I'm no expert in the matter. I don't think an...

But we wouldn't get colder if the Gulf Stream shut down because global warming is supposed to make ever... |

Bart, Global Warming is very REAL. The cause of it is what is being debated (Co2 Emissions and all the other theories out there). Everything is off balance. As such, mother nature isnt so predictable. So AGW causes cooling, too, right? Yes. Edit: Here's the Theory: http://www.cru.uea.ac.uk/cru/info...

These surveys usually don't take into account services the Governement gives in some countries(Health Care as an example) and in other that it falls upon the worker to demand it from their employer (Health Insurance, Day Care etc..). But, at that, I do agree that lower corporate taxes are good in ma...

Dion is a prick. I told everyone as such when I still around and posting in the Liberal Party Forums. I just hope he keeps this up. The longer the Liberals can stay out of Office the better Canada will be. Harper is doing an excellent job, so is his Finance Minister. Cuts of this size are well appre...

Don't forget to account for the fact that revenues have been increasing every year by at least 1-3 Billion. Reducing the Debt by 10 Billion, saves close to 1 Billion per year in intrest payments. In my opinion, cutting taxes, repaying the debt and replacing our Military Equipement is easily done und...

Stack the deck.. "everybody knows that we can't win in Afghanistan." After all, that's all they say on the CBC so it must be right.. Actually, I think we can win. But lets break it down a bit. How much will it cost? How long will our troops have to be there? How many will die? And what do...

Only thing I have to say is, WOW. I was expecting a small but welcomed 1% decrease in the GST, and all of a sudden, Jim brings out huge tax cuts all accross the board. I'm really loving this guy! Cuts for everyone, would of loved a little more corporate tax cuts, but Noticed the plan is to cut it do...

If they lowered my Federal Taxe rate by about 1%, I'd get in the best years a maximum of 2000$ back. With the last GST drop, since we are big consumers, we saved close to 3000$ per year. How does that work? You pay income tax on all income, but pay GST only on some consumer goods. You don't pay GST...

Did it piss me off enough to vote Liberal? Absolutely not. I will get richer under the Tories. Who the bloody hell else am I going to vote for? I'll stick with the Tories for as long as it suits. Yea, pretty much sums up how I feel. Still really pissed. I invest more in Trust Funds when the Tories ...

I recall when this was all first put forward, economists said it wouldn't cause problems. During the election, Stephen Harper promised to cut the GST by 1% immediately, then another 1% after 5 years. That would be 2011. He also promised corporate income tax cuts, capital gains deferral, and to not ...
