This is hilarious. Leaving the money aside, the other issues Lou Dobbs and the other guys were talking about were bogus. Canada and the U.S. have had joint regulation treaties for as long as both countries have existed, if not when they were still a bunch of colonies. The idea of joint regulation of...

If it wasn't for foreign owned companies buying our resources Alberta would still be a welfare province.

Just like people can bring frivolous law suits, prosecutors can bring frivolous charges against people. I highly doubt a judge would accept this...

Sounds more like that judge who sued a laundry mat for $5M because they lost his pants.

I don't know what to think about this. On one hand it is scary to hear about our national resources being sold to other countries, but at the same time if 90% of the world is barred from buying them their value will be reduced significantly. Would the oil sands have ever been developed if not for fo...

The lie is that the John Tory is perpetuating the myth that the reason 7/10 murders are committed is because of lax bail. He is implying that these murderers committed terrible crimes before the murder, and that the murders would have been prevented through tougher bail impositions. It is true that ...

Anything can still happen, predicting elections is like predicting weather. Tory seems inexperienced and unable to discuss other issues. I don't know his background, but I don't think it is in politics. He hasn't made specific promises, accepting the school thing and that he will cut money to health...

Better yet, here's the article. Defence, prosecution alike reject PC attack on bail system KIRK MAKIN From Saturday's Globe and Mail October 6, 2007 at 12:55 AM EDT A campaign assault on the bail system by Ontario Conservative Leader John Tory has accomplished the rare feat of uniting both the prose...

Did the players actually say something along those lines, or was it the title of the report (as the article here implies)?

Players probably don't give much input on program titles.

Wasn't the girl who was killed in Victoria an immigrant killed by real "white" Canadians?

Who missed the morality lesson there?

It's debatable whether the bureacracy should make policy, but in practice it is accepted that they do it. In theory, parliament is supposed to make policy and the bureaucracy, under the direction of the PMO and the Cabinet is supposed to implement it. In practice, parliament doesn't have any input i...

Ontario would definately be strengthened if it left Canada. The system of government that seemed like a good idea a hundred and fifty years ago doesn't work anymore. Ontarians are starting to realize how much they are raped financially by the rest of Canada, while at the same time having the RoC con...

Small towns lose jobs because they are small towns, not because of politicians. The reason people live in small towns is because they like the peace and quiet, and they are trying to get away from cities. If people started moving to small towns and creating jobs all the people who live in the small ...

That is complete BS. The guy who got hit had his head down. It wasn't a hit from behind, he hit him square in the front. He barely left his feet, the highlights showed Downie in the air after he hit the guy, he barely left his feet before the hit. There should have been no suspension.
