Thank you for the link. I'll translate it through soon. In regards to what a Bloc MP can do - yes, they can talk, but really, what can they accomplish? If the government is not wooing Quebec, nothing. Realistically, they are essentially placeholders until a real party wins the seat. They hold the ba...

A conservative MP from Quebec can lobby the government. They can lobby Stephen Harper, and gain considerable power to their constituents. What can a Bloq Quebecois MP do? Complain in the House of Commons? Whine to Don Newman? Could you please link me to the story that Maxime Bernier said that in?

In reference to Israel's right to fight Lebanon. You are essentially correct in the assertation that Lebanon did little to provoke Israel, in comparison with other things. They kidnapped Israeli soldiers, which Israel proclaimed an act of war. They had every right to do so, and gave quite a bit of t...

Could you translate what Maxime Bernier said into English, please? There is a french forum for the french language, if you feel the need to use it, then do. You really, other than the quote that I can't read, have provided no proof. Unfortunately, we can never agree on whether Conservatives will win...

Well, one might argue that two tier healthcare is not capitalist, Bart. For example, France has a highly effective two tier healthcare system (ranked #1 by WHO). They are perhaps the most socialist country in the world. Quebec, the most socialist province in Canada, is also instating two tier health...

I can tell you that: A) Lawrence Cannon is the second most influential man in Canada at this point in time. B) Josee Verner is the first or second most important women in Canada at this point in time (depending on where you place Rona Ambrose). C) Federal government has no place in a zoo. D) Maxime ...

Don't be confused. The real leader of the Liberal Party are people like Paul Desmarais, and Warren Kinsella, and always will be. It is a party of backroom boys, very akin to the Republican Party in the US.

Yes, I mean, Josee Verner, Lawrence Cannon, Maxime Bernier, Jean Pierre Blackburn, Christian Paradis, Jacques Gourde, and Sylvie Boucher all in high places of power is clearly not influential enough. Let's recount all the Ministerial positions Quebec has recieved for a mere ten seats, shall we? Mini...

Martha Hall Findlay is great. I'm not even a Liberal, but I'd consider supporting her.

Well, keep in mind that the area is one of the most seperatist in Quebec. If the four federalist parties can hold them to less than 50%, it's a good sign.
