The economy isn't a pie. You won't have to share it with 50,000 more people. No, it's more like an engine. You have to get it going first before you can go anywhere with it. It's exactly why countries do anything possible to avoid deflation. If the economy were humming along, importing people would...

Sounds like an expensive proposition. That's at least 50000 more people a year that Canada has to support. I don't know the logic of allowing immigration when the economy isn't doing so good and unemployment is so high.

Trumps seemingly out of nowhere tweet came an hour after Bill O'Reilly,Fox News show aired a segment on whether Trump should send feds into Chicago. This is how policy gets made now. Reactive tweets to Dipshit pundits on TV. No more thinking or planning. 100% knee-jerk The best part of how he's doi...

Hear hear. Honestly, the only way it looks like things will change in California is if the politicians there grow some balls (not gonna happen) or they rip up the state's constitution and start from scratch and create a framework that's more manageable. They really do need to start fresh. Changing ...

The mission now includes Pakistan because of 9/11? That's flimsy logic considering the attackers were Saudi. Among the biggest questions being asked in the White House is whether the Afghan government can be a reliable partner in economic development and improved governance — especially in the wake...

Hey Brownshirt, I build networks not cars. I'm also the Boss not one of the peons. But spent 30 years as one of them. It doesn't take too much to figure out: A: the less you pay the shittier the worker you get, an]d the one who offers to work for less is the first you fire because they already know...

Republican policy at its finest. Cut essential services to reduce taxes and buy votes. Then OOOOOPPPPS, I guess we need to hire back all those forest-fire fighters we didn't think we needed. Oh wait, how are we going to pay them? If you want to trim government spending, you have to pick the right p...

Well, I would like to see if the mayor is good on his word, because this is highly illegal. I can only imagine a civil suit would emerge and him being impeached out of his position? Seriously, trying to govern people's spending? The mayor needs to give the unions a rude awakening and not his employe...

If you really care, you'd by renewable only electricity like I did. Or...if you didn't care, but thought people were dumb enough to believe you did no matter what you did, you'd leave your flood lights on so people could see your pretty trees like Al Gore did. I mainly do it because I want to use a...

I actually decided to turn on all of my lights and my air conditioning. Screw Earth Day. A hollow feel good idea that does nothing. If you really care, you'd by renewable only electricity like I did. If you cared alot, you get your government to create an economical environoment for clean energy. He...

I am really confused about the communication between Obama and Geithner. Is there any? 3 weeks ago, Obama came out and said Geithner would have a plan laid out by the next day. Geithner then says it will be laid out in 2 weeks. 1 week late and still nothing. These communication issues need to be iro...

I gave him the benifit of the doubt. The inaguration did fill me with hope that maybe he can do good things for the country. Fast forward 2 months and I don't like what I see. Thanks for setting the precedent. Now we can expect you to pay every cent of the bail-out "loan" back right. A precident would be set if they took back the money. Having the government tear up contracts on a populist whim is not good. Once the government decides this contract shouldn't be...
